If you read my last blog post, then you will know about the situation with Millie McAinsh.
Millie is 18 years old and has very severe ME. She is currently in hospital and has been since January. Her admittance was recommended by specialists who want her to have a feeding tube inserted. Instead the hospital has disagreed with Millie’s ME diagnosis and are treating her symptoms as psychological. This is causing severe distress and trauma for Millie, and is being exacerbated by the hospital who disbelieve that ME is real and are refusing to listen to ME experts. They have now also reduced the visiting times for the family, which is causing Millie even more distress.
If you would like to help Millie, there are two ways you can do this. There is a petition on change.org to help get Millie the care she needs from the hospital so she can go home. After signing, please check your email inbox to confirm your signature, otherwise it won’t count.
The second way is to donate towards medical appointments to help Millie’s family get her the care she needs right now. You can find the donation page on justgiving.com.
However you are able to help, I’m sure it will be greatly received by Millie’s family who are going through a really bad time right now.
Please share this so we can get Millie help as quickly as possible.
