Have a Tea Party for ME

A Simple Way to Raise Money for Those Living With CFS

May is ME Awareness Month. Each year, people all around the globe get together to raise money and awareness for this debilitating condition. Many people with ME are not able to get involved due to the severity that their bodies can be affected. But one person found a great way for many others with the condition to get involved.

About ‘Blue Sunday’

Anna, who lives with ME (also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), came up with the idea when she hosted a virtual tea party for her birthday. This evolved into the Blue Sunday tea party as a way for all others with ME to be able to help raise money for ME charities. The colour blue is used as it’s the awareness colour for ME/CFS.

The first event was in 2013 which raised £248. Each year the event has been growing worldwide. Last year £30,000 was raised. In total, Anna has helped raise £70,000.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Blue Sunday tea party.

The 14th of May will be this year’s Blue Sunday. Join Anna, and many others around the world, to help raise money for ME charities by having a tea party. This is a great way for those living with ME to get involved.

Please use Anna’s donation page to contribute so she can keep a track on how much is raised. The donations can go toward international as well as UK charities.

For more information, please take a look at Anna’s website to see how you can join in.

It is estimated that between 17–30 million people worldwide live with ME, and there is no effective treatment for the condition. For more information about ME, please see my article:
